About Yorkshire Net UK
Official Club Call Sign: Yorkshire Net UK · The Yorkshire Linking Project by Lee M0YDG
This project is fully funded and maintained by myself to keep Yorkshire connected to the world via ham radio.
All systems run on my own hardware, including custom-built repeaters and gateways.
I look forward to chatting on the air! — M0YDG
Systems Overview
- Yorkshire Net UK: Two independent networks running on my own servers.
- D-Star REF011 Reflector: Hosted in the UK.
- All servers run from my personal home data centre with backup power and dual 1Gbps internet lines.
- All Yorkshire Net repeaters are linked via 5.8GHz point-to-point connections, with private IPs—no internet required.
- Repeaters have solar and wind power backups, keeping them operational during outages.
News & Updates
- Portable Repeater (M0XYN): 5W ERP for events around Yorkshire. Frequency and CTCSS will be posted when active.
- KrakenSDR System: Deployed at locations with excellent take-off and low RF noise. Login access for Yorkshire hams will be available soon. Configuration still in progress. Google “KrakenRF” for more details.
